Mr Malek is a gentleman he looked after my mum brilliantly.Once she was discharged from hospital he phoned her to see how she was coping. He put her at ease,had her 6weeks check up,doesn't have to go back for 6 months. Now she's had new hip she feels like new women .Thank you MrMalek

Mr Malek is a true professional, he has an empathy with his patients such that you are immediately at ease and know that you are going to be cared for and the journey you are about to embark on will be professionally and competently managed. This approach is contagious as all the other professionals associated with your journey take Mr Maleks lead making the experiance less daunting and leaving you reassured of a positive outcome. My heartfelt thanks to Mr Malek and his team, thank you for giving me my mobility back.

I was in the care of Mr Malek for a total hip replacement and he took excellent care of me. He was courteous, polite, and considerate. The care provided could not be faulted. Thank you Mr Malek.

I attended Mr Maleks clinic as a check up after my hip replacement, he greeted me like i was a friend, as always he makes time for you and has a smile , i once again would definatly be made up to have him as my doctor if i had to have any other joint surgery done, i do hope he stays at the Maelor, it is Doctors like him it needs

Today was my 1st meeting with Mr Malek and feel totally reassured and feel totally confident in my knee op (in 2 weeks time). Mr Malek was friendly, kind but totally professional - which is exactly what I needed. Everything was explained thoroughly, questions answered.

Prof. Ib Malek joined BCUHB at Wrexham Maelor Hospital in January 2018 as Consultant Trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Lower Limb arthroplasty (Hip and Knee Replacement). He completed his specialist orthopaedic training from Wales training programme. He successfully completed 18 months fellowship at Adelaide, South Australia from Central Adelaide Health Network and prestigious Calvary Wakefield Hospital. His main interests are improving outcome following primary hip and knee arthroplasty, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS) and revision hip and knee Arthroplasty procedures.
